PROGRAMME

The programme is designed to hone your writing skills and spark new ideas. We hope that you will not only gain valuable knowledge but also forge lasting friendships with fellow Ukrainian writers.

please bring with you to the first session:

• Writing materials including pencil, eraser and blank, non-lined paper (reason to be revealed on the first session!)

• A sample of your writing: a personal story that has made an impact on your life, that would be an encouragement to someone else in their faith journey (100-200 words).

Do you want to write to share your faith, but are unsure where to start?

Or perhaps you’d like to upgrade your writing skills and connect with other Christian writers?

This mini online training course* for non-fiction writers offers a wonderful opportunity for you to hone your craft alongside fellow Ukrainian believers in Poland and Ukraine, who share your passion for spreading the good news of Jesus through the written word.

WHEN?

3 consecutive Monday evenings:

3rd, 10th and 17th November 2025

5-7pm (UK), 6-8pm (Poland), 7-9pm (Ukraine)

WHERE?

On ZOOM (participants will receive an email with the Zoom link after registration).

TRANSLATION

The training will be in English, with professional translation into Ukrainian.

OUR TRAINER

We are delighted and honoured that Martin Manser, former trustee of MAI-Europe and expert in writing and editing, has agreed to run this training for us.

Martin Manser is a professional reference book editor. He has edited over 200 reference books in 45 years, particularly English-language dictionaries, books on business skills and Bible-reference titles. He was Managing Editor of the NIV Thematic Bible (Hodder & Stoughton, 1996), Revising Editor of the 8-million-word Matthew Henry Commentary (Zondervan, 2010), co-editor of the NLT Christian Basics Bible (Tyndale, 2017) and the [first] Myanmar Study Bible (CLC Myanmar, 2018), Managing Editor of the award-winning NIV Bible Speaks Today Bible (IVP UK, 2020), and Managing Editor of the (NLT) Spiritual Growth Bible (Christian Art, 2021).

For over 20 years he was also a Language Trainer and Consultant and led courses with companies and organizations on writing, editing and communication.

*This training is mainly for adults 18+. If you are 16 or 17 years old you may attend, but an adult must register for you, and be in the room with you during each of the training sessions. Thank you for your understanding.
